US Consulate Lahore Political Economic Officer Victoria Taylor said the US and Pakistan were enjoying very warm relations. They would work in collaboration with the LCCI and business community of Lahore to promote the bilateral trade; and a little effort in right direction could take the trade volume to the peak.
She was addressing a gathering of businessmen at the LCCI on the occasion of "US Healthcare and General Industry Catalogue Show" jointly organised by the US Consulate Lahore in association with the LCCI, disclosed a LCCI's spokesman here on Wednesday.
Victoria further said that relations between Pakistan and United States were unique in nature and a little effort in right direction could take the trade volume to the peak.
Speaking on the occasion, LCCI President Mian Shafqat Ali said that that Catalogue Show would help people of Pakistan to know about the latest healthcare technology. He said that a good number of people were suffering from heart diseases, hypertension and diabetes, the biggest reason of which was our tendency to lead a comfortable life and to avoid hard physical work.
While throwing light on various aspects of Pakistani economy, the LCCI President said the reforms initiated by the present government had started yielding results. He said that "Business to Business Contacts" had not realised their full potential and there was a need to ease out regulations for Pakistani exporters for reaching out the US markets.
