Relief for students

28 Apr, 2006

The University of Karachi is an educational centre where students from all over Pakistan as also from abroad, come to take higher studies. There is no doubt that the degree of the University Of Karachi is recognised all over the world.
But in our university there are some problems faced by the students, which need an immediate solution. Especially the points, which pick up the student from certain stops and drop them at the university in time.
These points are very few in number, due to this reason the students face problems in attending their classes. In case of reaching late, they miss important lectures and due to short attendance the students have to pay extra charges, alongwith their examination fees, which is an extra load on the students. And not all students are able to pay them.
Most of the students are not even able to pay the rent of the private buses. Those students, who live far away, have to change 2 or 3 buses which is a tiresome process and this is only because of the shortage of points.
The students should also be permitted to bring their own cars as Karachi is having hot weather. Each department should have its own parking plot. The progress of our country depends upon the students.
So I request the Vice Chancellor of the University that the above-mentioned problems be solved so that we are able to concentrate on studies.
