US cocoa futures wilted just over 1 percent Thursday as flagging bean values in London prompted speculators to bank profits from this week's three-week peak in the July contract, traders said.
The New York Board of Trade's active July cocoa contract shed $19 to end at $1,508 a tonne, after trading from $1,502 to $1,527. September lost $18 to finish at $1,530 a tonne, and back months fell $17 to $19.
