Punjab Law Minister Raja Muhammad Basharat has said that meeting of Benazir Bhutto and Mian Nawaz Sharif was not in their own interest and it would ruin their political career.
However, this meeting would not affect the Muslim League which is enjoying the support of majority of the people. Talking to newsmen at the Valima of Rana Hasnain Noon, younger brother of Punjab Minister for Agricultural marketing Rana Qasim Noon here. He said that both leaders had levelled some serious allegations of corruption, violation of the constitution on each other and both had declared "security risk "to each other. Now they cannot justify their union before the people.
The minister said that Punjab government was introducing Independent Prosecution Service (IPS) from next month in the province under which civil and criminal prosecutors would be appointed under Prosecutor General Punjab to deal with the cases separately. Similarly judiciary was being bifurcated into civil and criminal for early disposal of cases. He told a questioner that six bills are in pipeline and these would be tabled in next session in the house.
