An All Pakistan National IT Gala, Nascon 06, participated by 370 students from all over Pakistan and organised by the National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences began at the H/11 Campus of FAST here on Sunday.
Talking to Business Recorder the IT scientists said that the extraordinary talent and innovation displayed by the students at the gala indicate that Pakistan is at the threshold of making it to the top and compete with the advanced countries in the field of technology.
They said that this year Nascon has a much broader scope as compared to the previous ones as it includes engineering and business projects besides the traditional software projects. "There is an encouraging participation by students from all over Pakistan, including places like Jamshoro, Nawabshah, Faisalabad, Kohat, Wah Cantonment, Abbottabad, Lahore, Karachi etc" they added.
Inaugurating the gala, Federal Minister for Women and Youth Affairs, Sumaira Malik congratulated the students and the faculty.
