Students urged to enrich capabilities through IT

University of Agriculture Faisalabad Vice-chancellor, Dr Bashir Ahmad has urged students to enrich their capabilities through information technology and communication skills as these are the prerequisites for their personality development.
Addressing the annual prize-distribution ceremony of Laboratory Girls High School, he said the people having these qualities could perform their tasks more amicably.
Professor Dr Bashir Ahmad congratulated the successful candidates in general, and the position holders in particular for their utmost hard work and keen interest in their academic activities. Terming Lab Girls High School the best one of the city, he said the school administration was providing all necessary facilities and a cordial atmosphere to its students for making them valuable assets and obedient to their teachers and parents as well.
In order to meet emerging needs of the school with respect to early construction of classrooms and a main hall, Professor Bashir asked the project director of Engineering and Construction Department to expedite the procedure in this regard.
Earlier, Headmistress Tasneem Zubair highlighted the curricular and extra-curricular activities of the school. She said 42 students appeared in Matriculation examinations and all got 1st division. In Science Group, Asma Ihsan got 778/850 marks, obtaining 4th position in the BISE along with Quaid-e-Azam scholarship while Freeha Javed got 758 marks and Iram Saif achieved 756 marks with second and third positions, respectively.
In Arts Group, Hafiza Sana Quddoos secured 699 marks along with Quaid-e-Azam scholarship, Amina Ibad Ali 673 and Hafiza Munazza Rafiq 670 marks with second and third positions, respectively. She added that 14 students appeared in Middle Standard scholarship examination and all got 1st division- Arifa Rauf got 731, Zobia Sattar 725 and Sara Ihsan got 719 marks with 1st, 2nd and third position in the school.
