03 May, 2006

Former prime minister Mir Zafarullah Khan Jamali has said that Balochistan issue is not problem of three chieftains and calling it as a problem of three Sardars would not be right.
He said that Baloch Sardars were senior political leaders and responsible citizens of the province. Talking to a private TV channel in Hyderabad, Jamali further said that people of Balochistan were facing many difficulties at the time so their problems should now be resolved.
He added that immediate implementation of the report of the parliamentary committee on Balochistan was necessary for the solution to the issue. The former prime minister said that imposing ban on Baloch Sardars' movement and putting their names in the exit control list (ECL) was not better act for the government.
