Belgian envoy calls on Sherpao

Belgium ambassador Patrick Renault on Wednesday called on Interior Minister Aftab Ahmad Khan Sherpao and discussed co-operation between the two countries in the fight against terrorism.
Interior Minister said Pakistan and Belgium were taking effective measures to curb terrorism in all its forms and manifestation. He briefed the envoy regarding Pakistan's role as a front-line-state in the fight against terrorism.
Sherpao said under the leadership of President Pervez Musharraf and Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz the country was progressing and the standard of common man was improving.
The Minister said Pakistan gave due importance to its relations with Belgium and the two countries would further strengthen their co-operation in different sectors.
Belgium envoy Petrick Renault appreciated Pakistan's role in curbing terrorism and said that Belgium would take measures to further strengthen its relations with Pakistan in counter-terrorism.
