ILO global report on child labour today

A global report providing new estimates at the number of child labourers world-wide and regionally, and analysing the progress to date in the struggle against child labour, is being released on May 4 by the International Labour Office (ILO) here and around the world.
The report, entitled "The end of child labour: Within reach", is to be launched on May 4 at a wide range of events globally, including the ILO's American Regional Meeting in Brasilia, Brazil with ILO Director GeneraL Juan Somavia.
In Pakistan, Gagan Rajbhandari, the officer in charge of the ILO, Ahmet Ozirmak, Chief Technical Adviser and Saifullah Chaudhry, Senior National Programme Officer of IPEC will provide more details on the report during the launching and answer questions.
