'CDGK encourages foreign investment'

City Naib Nazim Nasreen Jalil has said that the City Government is pursuing the policy of extending all possible encouragement to foreign investment and as a result of which investment in Karachi is registering growth. She was talking to Consul General of Qatar Rashid Bin Abdul Rehman Al-Naam at her office here on Tuesday.
She said Pakistan enjoyed strong bonds of friendship with Qatar and other UAE states and these needed to be consolidated further through promoted social, cultural and political co-operation.
Nasreen Jalil told the Qatar CG that law and order situation in the city was better and vast investment opportunities exist here. She said strong Stock Exchange was reflective of a strong economy.
She told the Consul General to see ongoing development projects here, which would help identify possible vistas of trade and co-operation.
She referred to last development taking place in Qatar and other UAE states. She opined that pace of development in Karachi could be accelerated by benefiting from their experiences of development.
The city naib nazim said that besides economic development in Karachi suggestions for social and cultural development would also be welcomed.
