NWFP Assembly demands stock exchange in Peshawar

The NWFP Assembly with Speaker Bakht Jehan Khan in chair on Thursday passed a resolution with majority demanding setting up of a stock exchange in Peshawar. The resolution was tabled by Muzafar Said and was passed by the house with majority.
The house also passed other resolutions pertaining to different issues. A resolution, tabled by Maulana Masamar Shah, was also passed unanimously. The resolution demanded provision of gas supply to Doaaba Shabqadar area. Another resolution passed unanimously demanded conversion of passport counter at District Lower Dir for residents of Bajaur Agency into a full-fledge passport office.
Dr Zakirullah Khan of MMA moved the resolution. Dr Zakirullah tabled another resolution demanding approval for setting up of Protector Office in Timargera, Lower Dir, as there are number of offices of overseas employment promoters. The resolution was passed unanimously.
A resolution moved by Qazi Muhammad Asad was also passed unanimously. Qazi Asad demanded category B-1 electricity rates for those tube-wells, which have been handed over to communities for irrigation purpose.
Another resolution, demanding maximum utilisation of zakat fund in hospitals, was passed, moved by Abdul Majid of MMA. The resolutions of Bashir Bilour and Mian Nisar Gul lapsed due to their absence from the proceedings.
