1,000 chickens die mysteriously in Sialkot

As many as 1,000 chickens died in a poultry farm in adjoining village Bheeko Chhor on Pasrur road and keeping in view of suspected bird flu the poultry farm has been sealed immediately.
The Tehsil Nazim Sialkot Imtiazuddin Dar along with district health officer, district officer livestock rushed to the spot. The Tehsil Nazim Sialkot has directed the owner of the poultry farm to stop dispatching chickens and egg for sale in the market till the receiving of laboratory test report. The blood samples of chicken have been collected and dispatched to laboratory for test of suspected bird flu.
According to district officer livestock the extraordinary heat and Rani Khait vaccination was the main cause of death of chicken. He further told that there was no sign of bird flu because 5,000 chickens of the poultry farm are healthy however the blood samples of chickens have been collected and dispatched to the laboratory for analysis of bird flu. The livestock department has collected blood samples from different poultry farms and send these to laboratory for making a diagnosis of suspect bird flu.
