An anti-terrorism court on Friday allowed bail to Khawaja Saad Rafiq MNA, PML-N Punjab secretary Zaeem Qadri and 11 other party workers. The court also directed the applicants to submit surety bond of Rs 50,000 each for the satisfaction of registrar of the court.
The accused were arrested by the police on February 14, for holding violent protest in Lahore. They were also facing the charges of provoking the people for looting and ransacking the public property.
The Lahore High Court had already allowed bail to Saad Rafiq and Zaeem Qadri in other cases. The government had got registered five cases against them in different police stations.
