Activity at Karachi and Qasim ports

The Karachi Port handled 41,932 tonnes of cargo including 30,512 tonnes import and 11,420 tonnes export cargo including 3,827 containers during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Monday.
The cargo comprised of 35,093 tonnes dry cargo including 32,998 tonnes general cargo; 2,095 tonnes bulk cargo and 6,839 tonnes oil/liquid cargo.
Thirteen ships namely Corinthiakos, Sinar Bontang, Banglar Kakoli, Orient Independence, San Jiang Kou, Kota Tampan, Kota Jasa, Yang Jiang He, Iran Kordestan, Helan, Gusto, Plemonte and MT Johar sailed out to sea during the report period.
Nine vessels viz Helan, Kota Jasa, Yang Jiang He, Iran Kordestan, Conti Harmony, Al-Marwah, Orient Independence, An Ning Jiang and Conti Express are currently at the berths.
Two ships namely Al-Marwah and Conti Harmony expected to sail on Monday, while three ships namely Tai He, Maersk Alabama and MOL Asante are expected to sail on Tuesday.
Two ships namely MOL Kauri and MT Shalamar due to arrive on Monday, while four vessels viz Global Progress, CMA CGM Simba, Kota Tabah and APL Jeddah are due to arrive on Tuesday.

The cargo comprised of 1,621 tonnes sugar; 2,147 tonnes rice; 4,248 tonnes chemicals and 17,714 tonnes containerised cargo.
Three ships namely CV Corinthiakos, CV MSC Selin and MT Chemstar-7 sailed out to sea during the report period, while two more vessels viz CV San Clemente and MV Nipha Naree are expected to sail on Monday.
A total of five vessels viz Askabat, Anette Kosan, Loch Lomond, MSC Austria and Sealand Voyager are currently at the outer anchorage.
Four ships namely CV MSC Austria, MV Nedlloyd Muscat, MT Anette Kosan and MV Loch Lomond due to take berths on Monday.
Two vessels viz MT Yanasenni and CV Thebeland with containers and chemicals due to arrive on Monday, while five more ships namely MT Keefan, MT Kudam, MT Stolt Avance, MT Stolt Avenir and MV Global Challenger with diesel oil, furnace oil, edible oil and seeds are due to arrive on Tuesday.
