The Chairman of LPG Distributors Association, Hadi Khan, has held the liquid petroleum gas (LPG) companies responsible for increase in LPG prices.
Talking with newsmen, he said that the LPG companies were providing 11.8 kg LPG cylinder for Rs 460 to Rs 500 per cylinder. He alleged that these companies were also providing 50 to 60 percent less quota, which is one of the main reasons for LPG price rise in the city.
He urged the LPG companies to reduce prices of the gas and provide it to the consumers at affordable price. Hadi said he hoped that the LPG crisis might be over by the end of current month.
He advised LPG dealers to sell LPG at not more than Rs 45 to Rs 48 per kg. He also advised them to contact the association in case the distributors provided them LPG at higher price.
