The Movement of Workers' (MoW) activists staged a demonstration against the spiral price hike and poverty, and demanded of the government to alleviate poverty instead of eliminating the poor.
The MoW activists led by Taj Muhammad Soze, Ghazi Ahmed Hassan Khokhar, Syed Musawar Naqvi staged a demonstration at Kutchery Chowk and demanded of the government to cut the increased petroleum product prices and make policies to provide people cheap commodities.
"The Musharraf regime has failed in practice in providing relief to the general public due to anti-people policies and lack of commitment with the public interests," they alleged.
