Allama Iqbal hospital to be upgraded

Sialkot District Nazim Muhammad Akmal Cheema has said that Allama Iqbal hospital will be upgraded and equipped with modern machinery, costing Rs 35 million.
Talking to reporters on Wednesday, Akmal said that hospitals in Sialkot district would be made a good nursing home for the sick and provided solace to ailing with the prime concept of rebuilding the confidence of the people on government hospitals.
He said special attention had been focused on improving the condition of the government hospitals' functioning in the district. Extra-ordinary efforts were being made to provide maximum health cover to the masses at their doorstep in all parts of the district, he added. He said that health authorities had been directed to ensure proper treatment facility and availability of medicines in the government hospitals.
