Gram prices up on grain market

Grams prices were sharply higher on the local commodity market on Thursday amid tight supply position, dealers said. On the grams side, gram garda gained Rs 50-100 to Rs 3000-3100, gram dal garda followed suit and picked up Rs 100-150 to Rs 3700-3800 in process low business.
Yellow peas Canada posted a gain of Rs 20 to Rs 1480-1530, yellow peas dal Canada picked up Rs 10 to Rs 1670-1720, beetle chana No 1 gained Rs 50 to Rs 3125-3250, Beetle 50x50 was higher by Rs 75 to Rs 3050-3150, dal beetle gained Rs 150-200 to Rs 3800-3900.
Bajra better type also picked up Rs 20 to Rs 2550 while inferior type did not show any change at Rs 1225, they said.
On the rice sector, Basmati/D-98 Shahdadkot inferior type lost Rs 100 to Rs 1850 while the good type did not move any side, they added.
On the cereals side, wheat Maxipak was higher by Rs 10 to Rs 1070 amid modest trading, they said. Other items maintained the overnight levels.
