Elevation of women's status in society

13 May, 2006

In the rapidly changing business, management and economic world, we require a thorough understanding of ethics and leadership. Though ethics cannot be specifically defined; it is integrated in our professional life. When we think of leaders or leadership, we immediately think of politicians, military officers, corporate CEOs and business leaders.
Leadership can mean different things to different people. Ask yourself what that means to you. The bottom line is that at any given time, you and those close to you have assumed leadership as having others follow because they share our purpose, vision and values. How we interpret and develop these skills and apply them on a broader scale depends on our knowledge and confidence to extend beyond our boundaries.
Being a leader is not having a title. It is having the will and the confidence to stick your neck out and take personal responsibility for making things happens. It's about being curious and having the courage to venture out of your comfort zone. It's being able to listen, collaborate and affect change. If making that kind of a difference appeals to you, than consider participating in our leadership events held throughout this region.
Triple-E believes that women are important contributors to a region's economy and society. The basic concept of International Conference on Women Leadership is to address issues relevant to today's women. There is no area where women have not shown initiative and leadership, be it business, finance, entrepreneurship, management or technology.
