14 May, 2006

At least 45 Nazims of Muzaffargarh district on Saturday took out a procession from District Assembly to DCO office to press the authorities for his immediate transfer because he is a corrupt, dishonest, rude, ill-mannered person who had jammed the wheel of development in the district.
The procession was led by Nawab Ghulam Muhammad (Khanpur Bagga sher), Jamshed Dasti (UC 35), Syed Jamil Shah (Danreen), Abdul Hasnain Traggar (Chak Farazi), and Zulfikar of Volvet.
They vowed to continue their protest till the transfer of the DCO. All the member of the District Assembly wore black armbands. They alleged that the DCO was neither releasing the funds nor approving the development schemes.
When contacted, District Nazim Sardar Abdul Qayyum Khan Jatoi said the DCO was not a corrupt or dishonest person, however, he is non-co-operative and he was not behaving the elected representatives properly.
The DCO said that District Nazim met him and exchanged views for three hours and he was awaiting the files from the district assembly for early disposal of cases.
