The Jamaat-i-Islami (JI) activists on Sunday held protest demos and rallies in various cities and towns of the province against the police raid on JI provincial office in Karachi and arrest of religious leader Maulana Abdul Rauf and other party workers.
Demo and rallies were held in Thul, Nawabshah, Shikarpur, Larkana, Jhudo, Badin, Sukkur, Tando Adam and other cities.
Protest leaders in their speeches condemned the raid and arrests. They also lambasted the rulers for razing old villages in Karachi.
