Punjab traffic arrangements reviewed

Punjab Inspector General of Police (IGP) Ziaul Hassan Khan has said that special measures are being taken to resolve the traffic problems in major cities of the province.
He was addressing a meeting held to review the traffic arrangements. The meeting was attended by officers of traffic police and other police officers.
The meeting was told that refresher courses are being organised at every level to improve the performance of traffic police.
Also, the traffic police are being imparted training through refreshers courses to ensure traffic flow and treat public politely and avoid creating unnecessary hurdles.
It was decided in the meeting that neither general traffic would be interrupted nor the traffic signals would be switched off during the movement of senior police officers.
