Strategy being evolved to improve film industry: Jamal

Federal Culture Minister Dr G.G. Jamal has said that reforms would be brought in Pakistan Film Censor Board to pull out film industry from the present crisis and make it stand on its own feet.
He stated this while talking to the chairman and officials of the Pakistan Film Censor Board at a meeting held here on Sunday, said a statement issued here on Sunday.
The present government was striving for promoting and facilitating every industry, including the film industry, he added.
The minister made it clear that the licenses of film exhibitors and cinemas owners would be cancelled who violate the ethics and laws of the Censor Board and spread vulgarity. He said the government would establish training institutions soon for imparting training to the directors, producers and film actors keeping in view the shortage of trained people in the film industry.
Jamal lamented the outdated equipment and technology was still being used in the Pakistani film industry that could not fulfil the requirement of the modern days.
