This is with reference to different news items published in the dailies regarding new 5-star hotels coming up in Lahore and Karachi soon. I want to bring the attention of the government officials and investors to look at Quetta.
There is only one 3-4 star hotel ie Serena Hotel in Quetta as the government is paying lot of attention to this process so a lot of government officials, foreign company executives and foreign investors/technical people are coming and this hotel is now insufficient to hold such large number of guests.
I appeal to government to establish at least one to two 5-star hotels in Quetta to accommodate the future growing need of local as well foreign delegates. Similarly I suggest to establish a big Expo Centre in Quetta as this city in future will be a hub of economic activities.
With the development of Gwadar port and road/railway link Quetta will generate a lot of economic activity. Foreign trade companies will establish their offices in Quetta and from time to time they will held exhibitions.
The government has to pay attention to these things, which will also create jobs for the local people.
