Arabica coffee futures finished up nearly 1 percent Tuesday, boosted by light fund buying and speculative short-covering in the wake of three straight days of sharp price declines, traders said.
The New York Board of Trade's active coffee contract for July delivery climbed 1.0 cents to settle at $1.0260 per lb., having dealt from $1.02 to $1.0320.
The benchmark position had been trading at its lowest price in five months, bottoming at $1.0150 per lb. on Monday.
