Coalition forces have killed four "extremists" in an airstrike on a suspected militant hideout in south-eastern Afghanistan, the US military said Tuesday. There were no injuries or damage to civilians or property during Monday's strike in Uruzgan province, it said in a statement.
The militants were responsible for "launching numerous attacks" against civilians and the Afghan army, the US military said. Uruzgan is one of the provinces of Afghanistan worst affected by an insurgency led by loyalists of the hard-line Taleban government that was removed from power by a US-led coalition in 2001.
