TCP receives 21 cotton bids

The Trading Corporation of Pakistan (TCP) has received a total of twenty one bids for export and domestic sale of the cotton in response to the tender floated on May 9, 2006.
The bids were opened here in the Board Room on Tuesday at 11.30 am, said a statement of TCP here on Wednesday. It further said the Price Evaluation Committee met here on Wednesday to decide the award on the basis of tender.
After a detailed scrutiny of the bids, the committee accepted the highest bids received from different domestic parties for 30,000 bales, which were offered in lots.
