Cotton sowing target set for Rahimyar Khan

Cotton sowing target for district Rahimyar Khan (RYK) has been set over 792,340 acres land this year, while sowing has already commenced in the region.
This was disclosed by Executive District Officer Agriculture Zaffaryab Haider here on Thursday. He said that last year the cotton cultivation target was over 748,500 acres, while the actual sowing covered a larger area of 799,781 acres.
He said sowing of the silver fibre in the district would be completed by mid June, and observed that the finest quality cotton in the country was produced in this region.
