The Khushhali Bank (KB) has launched its scholarship programme for the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Sukkur. Similar programmes have already been launched at the IBA Karachi, Lahore University of Management Sciences (Lums), and Balochistan University of Information Technology & Management Sciences (BUITMS), Quetta.
According to a press release issued here on Thursday, the Khushhali Bank's strategy has been to provide impetus to growth by supporting the economic uplift and creating opportunities for underprivileged people residing in the most marginalised areas of the country.
In keeping with this strategy, the Khushhali Bank in collaboration with USAID has endeavored to award scholarships at leading educational institutions across the country for deserving students from Sindh, Balochistan and Fata to extend the benefit of quality education to the less privileged segments of these areas.
Khushhali Bank President Ghalib Nishtar, initiated the event by signing an agreement with Nisar Ahmed Siddiqui, director, IBA Sukkur to mark the launch of the KB scholarship programme.
During the event, Nishtar distributed certificates of scholarship to deserving students to facilitate them in pursuing their higher education in business disciplines and reiterated that the KB symbolises in collaboration with the government, private sector, donors, NGOs and communities.-PR
