CAA's emergency drill on May 22

The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) Allama Iqbal International Airport Lahore is conducting an airport emergency exercise in full scale at the airport on May 22.
The objective of the exercise is to test the response of all internal and external participating agencies as per airport emergency plan and establish rapport between agencies working at different levels to deal with any real emergency situation at the airport.
One aircraft is likely to be used for the exercise upon receipt of emergency call, ambulances from various hospitals, Pak army, Punjab Emergency Services Rescue 1122, Edhi Ambulances and fire brigades will respond to the simulated scene of aircraft accident in addition to the airport fire and medical services. Emergency medical centre will be established at the airport to deal with simulated injured. Critically/seriously injured passengers would be sent to the city hospitals for treatment. Full emergency operation will be supervised by a team from the CAA and observed by airline operators and other governmental and non-governmental organisations.
