Arabica coffee futures slid more than 1 percent Friday, weighed down by speculative liquidation in sympathy with sharp drops throughout the commodity sector, traders said.
The New York Board of Trade's active coffee contract for July delivery dipped 1.50 cents to settle at $1.0065 per lb after trading from $1.0020 to $1.0225 - inside the previous session's trading range. September slipped the same to $1.0355 and back months retreated 1.45 to 1.50 cents.
