Snow Leopard Network body meets today

World Wide Funds for Nature-Pakistan (WWF-P) is holding, for the first time in Pakistan a meeting of the Snow Leopard Network (SLN) committee from May 23-24 in Nathiagali in which key conservationists from Pakistan and around the world would meet.
According to a WWF-P's spokesman here on Monday, on May 25 decisions taken in the meeting would be shared with the participants of the session and media. Snow leopard is an animal of high altitude with tremendous ecological importance. This animal is found in Pakistan and 11 more countries of the world. Because of its predatory habits and beautiful skin, herders and pelt traders are killing this animal, a practice that has put the snow leopard at risk of extinction.
