A two-day workshop for journalist on "Understanding and Analysing the Budget Document" jointly organised by the Pakistan Press International (PPF) and the Centre for International Private Enterprise (CIPE) concluded here on Thursday.
As many as 15 journalists representing different newspapers attended the workshop. Kamal Siddiqui, a senior journalist was the facilitator at the workshop while Qaiser Bangoli - a famous economist and analyst, Fazal Quresdhi, Chairman PPF and Hammad Siddiqui, Programme Consultant CIPE spoke at various sessions.
The PPF and CIPE, through the MoU are committed to work together to help strengthen journalists' economic literacy and equip them to report and write about major economic issues.
Another two-day training workshop for journalists on the same topic would be held from May 29 to 30 in Islamabad.
The PPF is an independent media research, documentation and training centre working to promote and defend freedom of press and improving the standards of journalism in Pakistan. The CIPE is an affiliate of the US Chamber of Commerce.
