Seraiki Party stages sit-in against Punjab chief minister

Pakistan Seraiki Party (PSP) on Friday observed the sit-in at Chowk Kutchery as a protest against Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi who did not announce mega as well as short term projects for Multan and Southern Punjab.
Instead he spent huge money on holding a public meeting in air-conditioned tentage. The sit-in was joined by Hassan Zaman Raan, Malik Liaquat Ali Kamboh, Advocate, Ahmed Nawaz Somro, Khizar Hayat Khan, Abdul Sattar Thaheem, Mujahid Baloch, Mulazim Hussain, Abdul Razzaq, Javed Channar, Sardar Qayyum, Hakim Haider Iqbal.They said that district administration impounded the transport to fetch maximum number of people through police, Patwaris and Nazimeen whereas people of this area suffered hardships for two days due to non-availability of the transport.
They demanded for establishment of an agricultural university as well as research centre in Multan, university at division level, payment of royalty to southern Punjab for Uranium, cotton, wheat, electricity, gas and minerals and due share be given to Seraiki People in NFC award. Motorway to be constructed from Multan to Loralai.
