The Swiss franc traded almost unchanged against the euro on Friday, after the Ascension day holiday, as dealers steeled themselves for a raft of economic data next week.
The franc was quoted at 1.5583 to the euro compared with 1.5582 at the previous cloase and 1.5579 at the United States close.
Thursday's unexpectedly strong IFO index, a key measure of German business confidence, and the closing out of positions ahead of the Ascension day holiday have helped push the euro/swiss franc rate back above the 1.55 level.
The franc's high point this week against the euro was 1.5469 on May 23.
The franc traded at 1.2193 to the dollar, against Thursday's final 1.2161.
