Declining trend persisted in the open market on Saturday as the rupee shed four paisa for selling versus the dollar at 60.46 and it dropped by five paisa for selling at Rs 60.52 on rising demand for the greenback, dealers said.
The rupee fluctuated slightly during the day and it seems that the rupee-dollar parity rates might move both ways in the coming days, they said. The rupee gained 31 paisa versus the euro for buying and selling at Rs 76.70 and Rs 76.80 in modest business, moneychangers said.
In the world markets, the dollar improved versus the euro and it depicted slight changes versus the yen, they added.
