Prices of pulses have dropped as 35 percent regulatory duty was levied on export of the pulses. In the wholesale market, during last week the price of Dal Channa lowered by four rupees to Rs 32 per kg and Dal Moong by six rupees to Rs 52 per kg, a private TV news channel reported.
According to a local wholesaler, Dal Mash had shed its value by Rs eight to six per kg. Levying of the regulatory duty on the export of pulses had affected their export. According to market analysts, in the given scenario the prices of pulses were expected to further come down further.
