Ukraine has increased its wheat exports by about 23 percent to 169,500 tonnes in May 1 to 23 compared with 138,110 tonnes in the same period in April, analysts said on Monday, quoting data from ports.
Kiev-based ProAgro agriculture consultancy said in a statement Ukraine had exported wheat mostly to the Philippines and Italy. The consultancy also said Ukraine's seaport barley shipments fell by about 51 percent to 99,060 tonnes so far in May from 194,440 in April 1 to 23.
It said all of the volume had been exported to Saudi Arabia. Maize exports rose to 55,730 tonnes from 30,780 in April. Ukraine exported maize mostly to Iran and Libya.
