Alcotexa sells cotton

The Alexandria Cotton Exporters' Association (Alcotexa) said on Monday it had committed to sell 651 tonnes of cotton in the week which ended on May 27. Alcotexa figures showed sales of 21 tonnes of Giza 70, 100 tonnes of Giza 88 and 530 tonnes of Giza 86.
The new commitments bring Alcotexa's export commitments for the season, which began in September, to 88,255.8 tonnes of cotton worth $211.69 million, an Alcotexa official said.
