Activity Karachi and Qasim ports

The Karachi Port handled 170,670 tonnes of cargo including 152,398 tonnes import, 18,272 tonnes export cargo and 2,899 containers during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Monday.
The cargo comprised of 90,648 tonnes dry cargo including 37,794 tonnes general cargo; 2,929 tonnes sugar; 19,838 tonnes fertiliser; 8,120 tonnes rice; 710 tonnes cement; 20,537 tonnes coal; 721 tonnes other cargo and 80,022 tonnes oil/Liquid cargo.
Thirteen ships namely Sinar Bontang, Corinthiakos, Hanjin Busan, Seven Star, MT Lalazar, Rickmers Chennal, Cosmic Challenger, Al Maqwa, Iron Butterfly, Team Aniara, Golden Express, World Glory and Princess Highway sailed out to sea during the report period.
Twelve vessels viz Iron Butterfly, Hanjin Busan, Iran Sokan, Golden Express, World Glory, Princess Highway, Al-Marwah, Kota Tampan, MT Swat, Dong He, Athinoula and Maersk Alabama are currently at the berths.
Four ships namely Al-Marwah, Dong He, Al-Fatah and Maersk Alabama expected to sail on Monday, while four vessels viz Vancouver Victory, MT Swat, Kota Tampan and Bunga Delima expected to sail on Tuesday.
Four vessels viz MT Shalamar, Bunga Delima, Dong He, MOL Kauri and B India due to arrive on Monday, while six ships namely Stolt Tenacity, Thor Captain, Selcon, Iran Kordestan and Gusto are due to arrive on Tuesday.

The cargo comprised of 47,244 tonnes diesel oil; 4,771 tonnes sugar and 2,158 tonnes rice.
MV Paula sailed out to sea during the report period, while another ship MT Sita Camilla is expected to sail on Monday.
A total of three vessels viz Warbah, Opal and Sealand Independence are currently at the outer anchorage.

Three vessels viz CV MSC Brainna, CV Nedlloyd Muscat and MV Ioch lomond with containers and iron ore due to arrive on Monday, while another ship MV Al Mukhtarah with furnace oil is due to arrive on Tuesday.
