Europe's vegetable oil market was slow on Monday due to a lack of fresh leads as the Chicago Board of Trade was closed for a public holiday, traders said.
EU soyaoil was offered unchanged from Friday, while sunseed oil was flat to $5 a tonne lower after CBOT soyaoil futures weakened on Friday as traders evened positions ahead of today's holiday.
Crude palm oil fell $2.50 to $5 a tonne after Malaysian futures ended lower on Monday due to rising production, lower exports and a slightly firmer ringgit currency.
Palm olein changed hands at $415 a tonne fob Malaysia for July delivery and at $417.50 for July/September.
Coconut oil was offered flat to $2.50 a tonne higher, while palmkernel oil was unchanged to $5 lower from Friday, with both failing to attract buyers.
