Emarr Properties to develop real estate worth $2.4 billion

Emaar Properties - the leading property developer - on Wednesday announced three real estate development projects in Islamabad and Karachi with an aggregate investment of 2.4 billion US dollars. The projects would set new benchmarks in commercial, residential and retail property within Pakistan.
The company would launch two of its projects namely 'Highlands' and 'Canyon Views' in Islamabad on 1,500 acres land and the citizens of Islamabad would be offered 9,000 luxury single-family town homes and villas in a range of architectural styles with easy access to amenities including retail centres, community club, houses, parks, lakes, schools and mosques.
Emaar Properties would also offer a project 'Crescent Bay' - high and mid-rise towers for residential and commercial use - on 75-acres land for Karachiites. The project would also have a shopping center and five-star beachfront hotel.
The Highlands development is located within the Defence Housing Authority Islamabad (DHAI) Phase-I extension and Canyon Views is within the DHAI Phase-II extension.
