The rail track damaged in the Hazara Express derailment between Adam Sahaba and Sadiqabad on Wednesday was repaired on Thursday and rail traffic restored. Rescue teams after making 18-hour hectic efforts repaired the track and returned to Multan and Sukkur, said Divisional Superintendent Irfan Gauhar.
He said that an inquiry had been ordered to find the causes of mishap. Initial report revealed that this incident happened due to scorching heat, which affected the welded track.
