Technology-based transport to help generate jobs: Mustafa

City Nazim Syed Mustafa Kamal has said that with the introduction of new technology based public transport would help generate employment in this sector.
This he said at the ceremony of key handing over to the buyers of rickshaw-taxi vehicle built with new technology was held in connection with World Environment Day here at the Behria Auditorium here on Monday.
He said that the introduction of environment friendly vehicles made with newly developed technology was aimed to facilitate the common men, besides protecting the environment from getting polluted.
Dispelling the impression, he said with the introduction of such environment friendly vehicles would bring about a revolution in order to generate jobs, and no one from the public transport sector would get divested of his job.
He said people belonging to the public transport would be given maximum opportunities to get their aging run-down and environment deteriorating vehicles replaced with the environment friendly technology based vehicles.
Mustafa Kamal said the CNG based rickshaw-taxi vehicle was comfortable for passengers, environment friendly and as well as economical.
Meanwhile, City District Government Karachi (CDGK) has imposed section 144 to prohibit the sale of substandard beverages being sold at various spots in the metropolis.
It will be applicable on items ie ice creams, ice-candies, stalled fruit and juices, and on such other drinks.
