NBP's business policy termed broad-based

National Bank of Pakistan President S. Ali Raza said that NBP being the nation's bank in true spectrum is responsive to the challenges of corporate social responsibility. The bank's business policy is broad-based taking care of all sectors of the economy and serving all segments of the society.
The bank has taken a number of HR initiatives to hire high calibre MBAs and groom them through intensive training to prepare them for future corporate challenges and adding high value human capital in NBP.
The president NBP was inaugurating a 4 weeks basic training programme at bank's Staff College, Islamabad for batch of officers belonging to the rural areas of Balochistan and widows of employees died in the earthquake of October 2005. The president appreciated the services of deceased employees who gave their lives while on duty and said that NBP being aware of its corporate social responsibility has engaged their spouses/brother to mitigate their suffering.
Dr Mirza Abrar Baig, SEVP and Group Chief, Human Resource Management and Administration, welcoming the president highlighted the details of HR initiatives and informed the participants about the steps taken to provide employment opportunities to the rural areas of Balochistan and other rural areas of the country.-PR
