BRIndex30 loses 421.53 points

The BRIndex30 on Wednesday opened in positive zone with a gap of 29.01 points, but could not sustain the rise and soon went down to negative zone and remained there for the rest of the trading time, closing at 10,628.29.
It registered a negative change of -421.53 or -3.81 percent with intra-day high of 11,141.04 and low of 10,604.75. The volume amounted to 150,516,700, which was 84.42 percent of total market, and 95.71 percent of KSE-100 index. The volumes of KSE All Share and KSE-100 were 178,288,680 and 157,266,080, respectively.
BR Tech & Comm Index closed at 1,363.05 with a net downward change of -30.25 and percentage change of -2.17. The volume of this sector was 5,268,200.
BR Cement Index was the second most active sector. It closed at 1,790.33 with a net negative change of -72.43 and percentage change of -3.89. Volume was 44,561,200.
BR Commercial Banks Index was the third most active sector. It closed at 3,426.68 with a net negative change of -130.8 and percentage change of -3.68. The turnover for this sector was 32,638,500.
BR Power Generation and Distribution Index closed at 878.42 with a downward change of -7.16 and percentage change of -0.81. The turnover for this sector was 1,125,000.
BR Oil and Gas Index was the most active sector. It closed at 2,089.59 with a net negative change of -75.69 and percentage change of -3.50. The volume was 57,870,100.
