'Budget discussion in National Assembly to continue till finance bill'

A meeting of the House Business Advisory Committee decided that the general discussion on the budget 2006-07 which started on Thursday will continue till the passage of the finance bill.
The Committee, which was chaired by Chaudhry Amir Hussein, Speaker National Assembly also decided that debate on budget will continue for 50 hours providing ample opportunity to leaders and members of parliamentary parties to express their views.
The meeting discussed and approved the calendar for the remaining part of year 2006.
The next meeting of the committee will be held on Friday at 1.50 pm again.
The meeting was attended by Sardar Muhammad Yaqub, Deputy Speaker, Muhammad Wasi Zafar, Minister for Law, Justice and Human Rights, Dr Sher Afgan Khan Niazi, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs, Shahid Akram Bhindar, MNAs Madam Khrusheed Afghan, Sardar Nasrullah Khan Dreshak, Begum Mehnaz Rafi, Alsyed Abdul Qadir Jamaluddin Al-Gillani, Liaquat Baloch, Dr Shabibzada Abul Khair Mohammad Zubair, Syed Khursheed Ahmad Shah, Syed Naveed Qamar, Rauf Mengal, Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Munir Khan Orakzai and Iqbal Muhammad Ali Khan.
