Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal (MMA) Sindh chapter would observe province-wide protest day against Islamabad-agreement of PML-Q and MQM, demolition of villages, power outage, anti-people budget and non-arrest of terrorists involved in Nishtar Park bomb blast.
The MMA said in a release here on Thursday that it would hold demonstrations, public meetings and congregations in all the big and small cities and towns of the province. Prominent MMA leaders and legislators would address the protest meetings.
Besides, the prayer leaders would apprise the worshippers in their sermons at the mosques about the anti-Islam steps, the release said.
The decision to observe protest day was taken in a meeting here few days back. The MMA would also organise a series of 'Save Sindh' conferences in Hyderabad, Larkana and Sukkur on June 11, 17 and 18 respectively.
Meanwhile, Allama Hassan Turabi, Maulana Abdul Karim Abid, Dr Mumtaz Ali Memon, Allama Yousuf Qasoori and others appealed to the people to fully participate in protest day on Friday.
