MUET body proposes financial matter to university syndicate

Vice Chancellor, Mehran University of Engineering and Technology Jamshoro, Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan Rajput has called upon intellectuals and scholars to join hands for further enhancement of the educational standard at large and at Mehran University in particular.
He said this while presiding over a 70th meeting of the Finance and Planning Committee of Mehran University at his office on Friday.
He said that all out efforts were being made to promote higher education and the university management in collaboration with the Higher Education Commission had initiated a number of projects to promote the culture of research.
The laboratories were being equipped with latest equipment so that the scholar could not face any difficulty in completion of their research programme, he said and added that construction of new buildings was also the part of improvement of higher education in the campus.
According to university spokesman, the Finance Planning Committee after due deliberations approved and recommended the matters of Finance to the university syndicate.
The meeting was attended by Iqbal Soomro, Additional Secretary (Development) Sindh Finance Department, Dr Haji Mehmood Memon, Emeritus Professor, Dr Muhammed Ibrahim Pathan, Dean Faculty of Engineering, Dr MR Sabayo, Dean Faculty of Technology, Dr Muhammad Rafique Abro, Dean, Faculty of Electrical, Electronics and Computer System Engineering, Dr Dost Ali Khowaja, Dean Faculty of Architecture, Planning Arts and Design, Dr Abdul Karim Baloch, Professor of the Department of Electronics Engineering, Dr Muhammed Aslam Uqaili, Registrar, Engineer Ghulam Sarwar Kandhar, Project Director and Munir A Shaikh, Director Finance.
