PPP demands release of Gilani

Local PPP leaders Khurshid Khan president, M Saleem Raja general secretary, Malik Ahmed Husain Dehr divisional co-ordinator, Saleem ur Rehman Mayo chief organiser Asif Zardari Committee, Sharif Ullah Khan, Malik Qadir ul Hasan, Manzoor Qadri and Mirza Nazir Baig have demanded of the government to immediately release ex-NA speaker Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani.
Speaking at a reception hosted in honour of Saleem Raja by Shehbaz Sial they strongly condemned restrictions imposed on Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani. They said the rulers were very much afraid of charter of democracy.
They also condemned the registration of cases against Amin Fahim and Qasim Zia for delivering speeches in Murree about charter of democracy. The PPP leaders said the government had tried to befool the people through the new federal budget in which the government mentioned wrong figures.
They termed the budget as anti-people in which the government employees and pensioners have been ignored. They strongly condemned the city district Nazim for his failure to improve defective sewerage system.
Meanwhile, Aurangzeb Khan president People Lawyers Forum and Habib Ullah Shakir ex president PPP Multan district have strongly criticised the new federal budget and said it was the budget of the rich people in which poor people's interest had been ignored. Talking to newsmen they said the Prime Minister and finance minister were appointed with the approval of the US and they had least regard for the poor people and they always served the American interest.
